Everything you need to know about renting from For Your Function — event and party rentals, delivery and setup, tents, and our Party In A Box DIY kits across Tampa and the wider Tampa Bay area.
Booking & Payment
For most Tampa Bay events we recommend booking 4–8 weeks ahead, and 3–6 months ahead for weddings, quinceañeras, and large cultural celebrations during peak season (October–May). Smaller Party In A Box kits can often be arranged with 1–2 weeks' notice, and we'll always tell you honestly what's still available.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due when you book, to reserve your items. The remaining 50% is due 14 days before your event date.
A $10/day late fee applies, capped at $150 or 15% of your outstanding balance, whichever is less. If payment isn't received within 7 days of the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your order, and any payments made are forfeited.
Yes. We keep a valid credit card on file to cover any fees that come up on your order — things like late fees, cancellation fees, or damage costs.
Florida state sales tax (currently 7.5% for Hillsborough County) is added to all rental charges.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellation fees depend on how close to your event date you cancel: more than 14 days out, you forfeit your deposit only; 8–14 days out, 75% of your total is due; 2–7 days out, 90% is due; and within 24 hours of your event, 100% is due.
Yes — you get one free reschedule if you request it in writing more than 14 days before your event, subject to availability, and the new date must fall within a year of the original. If you reschedule and then cancel the new date, cancellation fees are based on your original booking date.
Yes, in writing, up to 14 days before your event. Additions depend on availability, and removals within 14 days are billed using the same cancellation fee schedule.
Delivery, Pickup & Setup
Yes — we offer event rental delivery, setup, styling, and pickup throughout Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Wesley Chapel, Lutz, Land O' Lakes, Valrico, Plant City, and Sarasota. Client pickup from our warehouse by appointment is also available if you'd rather transport items yourself.
Yes — same-day event rental delivery is available in the Tampa area when the items you need are in stock and our delivery schedule allows. Call us at (813) 400-0882 and we'll tell you right away what we can get to you today. Same-day requests may carry a rush delivery fee.
We provide an estimated 1–2 hour delivery window within 24–48 hours of your event. Someone 18 or older with valid ID needs to be present to accept the delivery. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees — traffic, weather, and venue conditions can affect timing.
If we're delayed on-site because the space isn't ready and have to leave to stay on schedule, a $100 re-delivery fee applies.
Deliveries and pickups outside Monday–Saturday, 8 AM–6 PM may carry additional fees, and late-night teardown after 11 PM incurs a fee equal to 15% of your total booking.
Flat, stable ground — grass, asphalt, or concrete. We can't set up on rocks, sand, or uneven ground, so please make sure your space is clear and accessible.
No — we're not liable for vehicle damage or injury during self-pickup, transport, loading, or unloading. Please make sure you have an appropriate vehicle and secure the items properly.
Party In A Box & DIY Rentals
Party In A Box is our signature DIY event decor rental: a pre-styled, fully coordinated kit of decor — think balloon garlands, backdrops, wooden arches, tabletop, and styling pieces — packed together with simple setup guides so you can create a designed look yourself. Choose a tier, customize it from our catalogue, then pick it up in Tampa or have it delivered. It's built for budget-conscious hosts and beginners who want a polished result without hiring a full styling team.
Yes. Individual DIY kits — wooden arch rentals, balloon garland kits, flower walls, and backdrop sets — can be rented on their own for self-setup, with pickup in Tampa or delivery to your venue.
That's exactly who it's designed for. Every kit arrives with clear instructions and everything needed to assemble the look, and we're a phone call away if you get stuck mid-setup.
Tents
Tent rental in the Tampa area generally ranges from a few hundred dollars for a small backyard canopy to several thousand for large framed tents with lighting, flooring, and sidewalls. Final pricing depends on tent size, guest count, delivery distance, install complexity, and rental duration — request a quote and we'll price your exact setup with no surprise add-ons.
Possibly — Hillsborough County typically requires a permit for tents over 400 square feet. Obtaining any required permit is the customer's responsibility, and we're happy to provide the tent specs and layout you'll need for the application.
Measure your setup space in advance (mismeasurement resulting in a bad fit adds a delivery fee plus a $150 labor fee), call 811 to have underground utilities marked at least a week ahead, and make sure the area is flat and free of debris (a $100 cleaning fee applies if it isn't).
No — cooking and gas heaters aren't allowed under or within 10 feet of any tent. Heat or residue damage is billed at full replacement cost.
Damage, Loss & Cleaning
You're responsible for items from delivery until we pick them up. Damage is billed at full repair cost plus a $25 handling fee; lost or unrepairable items are billed at full replacement cost plus shipping/handling. Normal wear and tear is not charged.
You're responsible for damage or loss caused by anyone at your event — guests, vendors, or venue staff included.
We photograph items at delivery and pickup. If there's an issue, you'll get written notice with photos and/or receipts within 7 business days of pickup, and you'll have 5 business days to dispute it in writing before the charge is applied.
Linens run $10–$30 per piece for stains (permanent stains are billed at full replacement); hard goods with food residue are $5–$10 per piece; wax or candle damage runs $15–$50 per item.
Equipment Use & Safety
Stop using it immediately and call us at 813-400-0882 (leave a voicemail after hours). We can't issue refunds for equipment issues unless we're notified right away.
Yes — customers are responsible for providing access to adequate electrical power for any rental items that require it.
Insurance & Liability
It's not required, but we do encourage it. We carry our own liability insurance.
Our liability is limited to the total rental fees you paid — we're not responsible for indirect or consequential damages.
Weather
Weather alone isn't grounds for a refund or cancellation under our agreement, so it's worth having a backup plan for outdoor events. That said, if we determine conditions are unsafe for setup or use, we may cancel the delivery and issue a full refund.
Photos & Marketing
We may photograph the setup for our own promotional use, without identifying individuals. If you'd rather opt out, just let us know in writing at least the day before your event.
